David Wood - Aquatic Technician




David Wood is an Aquatic Research Technician based at The Murray-Darling Freshwater Research Centre in Mildura, Victoria, Australia.

His main research/technical area of responsibility is The Living Murray Program.

David Wood’s research/technical topics of special interest include:

  • Fish
  • Cumbungi
  • Black Box and River Red Gums


David has held positions of:

  • Swimming Instructor with City of Greater Geelong, Geelong, Victoria (2004-2009).

For the last 4 years, David has been based at The Murray-Darling Freshwater Research Centre where he has worked on The Living Murray Project- Predominantly at Lindsay-Mulcra- Wallpolla and Hattah Lakes Icon Sites (Tree structure and condition, Cumbungi and Lignum assessments and Fish surveys). He has helped out on a number of other related projects as needed.
